This well established organisation is looking for an experienced technical support officer to join its IT support team. This role is a mixture of 1st and 2nd line support and systems admin, covering network, hardware and software support. You will be installing and configuring desktop, server, and network applications, operating systems and software. You will mainly be responding to 1st /2nd line helpdesk calls and dealing with issues regarding PCs, servers, software applications, and other Microsoft related products. Windows support experience is obviously essential, but Unix experience would be beneficial. You will also be required to liaise with third parties, overseeing work done, i.e. installations and implementations, and assisting with projects. You will also be involved in monitoring the systems performance, and reviewing business processes to make improvements.
