My client is looking for an RPG programmer with commerical experience of EDI protocols such as EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, ANSI X12 and XML based technologies such as DTD and XML Schema. The successful candidate will also have experience of an EDI translation package, (preferably REIMS) protocols such as TCP/IP and applications such as FTP. All development is in RPG4 or Java, so strong RPG4 skills are essential.
Good analysis and design skills are also required and desirables include experience of publishing and consuming Web Services (using WSDL, SOAP, REST), the ability to read and write simple Java database access and manipulation programs, as well as change and version management (preferably using Turnover).
Relevant experience of developing and supporting financial accounting applications, sales order processing, purchase order processing and warehousing would as be advantageous. This represents an opportunity to join a very fast moving company with modern offices that services over 300 EDI trading partners.
