Infrastructure Engineer

Although this is primarily an Infrastructure Support role, some application support skills are also required to deal with the day to day tasks associated with managing the application environment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of operating systems and office systems software on personal computers
•Ability to analyse, design, program, install and maintain highly technical and complex database and computer systems
•Ability to write operating instructions and procedures for electronic data processing applications
•Ability to analyse data and develop logical solutions to complex data processing application programming problems
•Ability to read, interpret and apply complex technical publications, manuals and other documents
•Technical Lead or experience in Data Centre Migrations or company mergers
•Extensive experience in Operations and Support within large Infrastructures with numerous Technologies other than MS
•Networking: Cisco WAAS, Cisco Catalyst 6500, Cisco Wireless, Cisco ACS, Solarwinds, CiscoWorks, Netscreen firewalls
•Accreditation: ITIL Certification, Microsoft Certification
•Processess and methodologies: ITIL, ERP, Release Mgt, Business Analysis, Service Management, Change Management, Asset Management, CRM, GAP Analysis
•Communications and Networking: HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, SSL, SAN, Internet
•Applications: Active Directory, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Project, Visio, Adobe Acrobat

DESIRABLE
•Experienced CCNP
•Strong experience of routing protocols including OSPF and BGP
•Strong switching experience including Spanning Tree
•IPsec VPN with Juniper SSL, Cisco ASA and IOS firewalls
